Dear Friends & Family,
Our spring has certainly been one of transition. Our last three months have been filled with unexpected blessings and hardships, but we recognize that all things work together for good, and we continue to rejoice in all the things that God puts in front of us. The more we surrender ourselves to who God is and what He is doing, the less we get to decide what tomorrow looks like. I want to let you know about several ways that you can pray for our family and our ministry:
We continue to love and invest in our foster daughter. There’s a court date on June 24 to determine further direction with the case. This has been a 9-month emotional rollercoaster. Some days we feel like we may get to adopt her, and other days we’re sure she’s going back to her birth mom. Please pray for God’s direction and peace in this process.
We leave next week to lead worship at 6 weeks of student camp this summer. Please pray for our safety in traveling, our sensitivity to what the Lord wants to do, and our effectiveness in leading others.
Our son, Jaxon, begins kindergarten in August. If you are a parent, you know that this is a big step! Please pray for him in all this transition (new house, new neighborhood, foster sister, and starting school).
We continue to ask God to give us favor in our relationships here. We want to always give reason for the hope that we have. It has been cool to see how often we are given opportunities to speak about that hope. Please pray that God would continue to reveal His plan and purpose for us in East Austin.
We want to be more intentional about investing in people in our city, so I am trying to travel less and be in the city more. Please pray that God would give me more opportunities to use my gifts in Austin and that He would provide what we need financially, physically, and spiritually to do that.
